Fancy Fire Works

Our shop is at 446 / 1 in Kotla Mubarakpur. The name is Fancy Fire Works, and we have been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. It is a narrow street and the shop is packed from floor to ceiling most of the time. We don't have much room to move around once the big stock comes in for the season. It is mostly boxes and brown paper everywhere. During the festival seasons, it gets incredibly busy and we are on our feet for twelve hours straight. The rest of the year is a bit quieter, but there is always something to organize or count in the back. The walls have some old posters that have faded over the years. We aren't interested in making it look like a modern mall store. It is a traditional place and we like it that way. People come to us because they know we have been here forever. We know which items are loud and which ones are just for the pretty lights. My kids sometimes help out after school when it is really busy. We sit on small stools and talk to the customers who have been coming since they were children themselves. It is a simple life in Kotla. We don't do any big advertising or things like that. Word of mouth is enough for us. It is just a local business doing what it has always done for the community.
