We are based at House No. 1961, which is over in Sector 28 in Faridabad. It’s a residential-feeling area in Haryana, so it’s a bit different from being in the middle of a big city center. The house is where design forum international operates from. It’s got that quiet, suburban feel until the morning rush starts. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time. The rooms inside have been turned into workspaces, so there’s a lot of stuff everywhere—papers, drawings, and old mugs. It feels more like a home that turned into an office than a corporate building. We don't have those glass walls or shiny floors. It's just a regular house in Sector 28. Sometimes the mailman gets confused by the numbers on the street, but we usually find our packages eventually. Being in Faridabad, India, means we deal with the usual weather, the dust, and the neighborhood dogs barking in the afternoon. We just show up, get our coffee, and sit down to work. There’s no big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just focus on the projects we have in front of us. It’s a practical way to work. We know the people living next door, and they know us. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business without all the unnecessary fluff of a big city office or a fancy headquarters.
