Creative Zone, New Delhi

If you find yourself in Jamia Nagar, you might pass by Creative Zone at H-56 in Batla House. We’ve been operating from this part of New Delhi-25 for a while now. It’s a tight-knit neighborhood, and our office reflects that. It’s not a huge space, but it’s enough for what we do. We do a lot of creative stuff here, and the walls are mostly covered in sketches or notes about current projects. There is always a lot of activity on the street outside, with people moving about and the smell of food from the local stalls nearby. It can be a bit distracting, but it also gives us ideas. We don't have a big staff or a fancy HR department. It’s just a few of us who like making things. We use simple tools and work at our own pace, mostly. Some mornings we start late because the traffic in Batla House was particularly bad, but then we stay late to make up for it. The building itself is older, and the lights flicker sometimes, but it has character. We like being part of the local scene here instead of being tucked away in some sterile office park. People know us by name, and we know the guy who sells tea at the corner. It's a humble way to run a business, but it's our way. We just keep our heads down and focus on the creative side of things every day.
