Bansal Traders

Bansal Traders is situated on Devli Road in the Raju Park area of Khanpur. It’s a busy stretch of road with a lot of traffic. We’ve been here for a good while. The shop is right on the main path, so we see a lot of dust from the cars. We trade in various goods, mostly things people need for their homes or small shops. It’s not a supermarket. It’s a traditional trading spot where things are stacked up high. We have bags and boxes everywhere. Sometimes it's hard to walk through the aisles. We don't have air conditioning, just the breeze from the door. It gets hot in the summer, but we're used to it. The neighbors are mostly other shopkeepers. We talk to them while standing out front. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot is still written in our notebooks. It’s a practical way to run things. We don't have a philosophy or anything like that. We just buy stuff and sell it for a little more than we paid. That’s how trading works. The Raju Park area is always lively. People are always looking for a deal. We try to keep our prices fair so they come back. It’s a simple life on Devli Road. We open up in the morning and stay until the street lights come on. It’s what we do for a living.
