Arora Tent House

Shop number 68 on Shyam Lal Road in Darya Ganj is where you will find us. We are right near the Ram Mandir. If you know Darya Ganj, you know the streets are narrow and always full of people and rickshaws. Arora Tent House has been here for a long time. Our shop is packed to the ceiling with poles, folded fabrics, and various bits of hardware. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks in the tight street. It takes some skill not to block the whole road. The air is always full of the sounds of the city. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and displays. People just come in, tell us what they need, and we pull it from the stacks. It’s hard work, especially in the Delhi summer, but we are used to it by now. We know most of the people on this street. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside and have a tea while we wait for the next delivery. We don't bother with much advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just walking past the shop. It’s a basic business. We provide what people need for their gatherings and we make sure it gets there. No fuss, no complications. Just us and our tents in the heart of Delhi.
