Aggarwal Tent & Light House

My family has been doing this for quite some time now over in Shalimar Bagh. We are right there at BK1/61. It started out with just a few basic tents and some strings of lights for local weddings around the neighborhood. Nowadays, we handle a bit more, but it’s still the same basic idea of getting things set up so people can have their parties. We keep the poles, the fabrics, and all the wiring for the lights in our storage area. It gets busy during the wedding season, so we’re usually out on site most days. If you walk past our place, you’ll probably see us loading or unloading the trucks. We don't have a fancy office or anything. It's just us working with what we have. People usually just drop by or call when they have a function coming up. We try to keep everything tidy, but with all the poles and heavy cloth, it's a lot of manual work. Sometimes the lights need fixing or a tent gets a small tear, and we just patch it up and keep going. That’s how we’ve always done it here. It’s a local business, nothing more. We know the streets around Shalimar Bagh pretty well by now. If someone needs a stage set up or just some extra chairs for a small gathering at home, we pull it together. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but it’s what we do.
