aashray design consulants is located in Sri Niwaspuri. We are in Flat 12 of the Q1/7 block. It is a residential area in New Delhi, so the office is basically a converted apartment. This makes the whole place feel very informal and relaxed. We have a small sign outside, but most people find us by looking at the block numbers on the buildings. We do consulting work for various design projects. It is usually just a few of us sitting around a large wooden table with our laptops. We have lived and worked in this area for a long time. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a lot of large drawings spread out over the floor. We do not have a fancy corporate structure or departments. We just talk to each other across the room and get the jobs done. Sometimes we go out to the local market for a tea break in the afternoon. The flat has a small balcony where we keep some plants, though we forget to water them sometimes when we get busy. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place to work. We are not trying to impress anyone with a big shiny office. We just need a roof over our heads and some good light to work by. Sri Niwaspuri is a busy place, but our little corner is usually quiet enough for us to focus. The rent here is reasonable and the area has everything we need. It is a good setup for what we do.
