You can find Aarcee Mittal & Bros. right in the middle of the madness that is Chandni Chowk. Our address is 1723 Bhagirath Palace. If you have ever been to Bhagirath Palace, you know it is the biggest market for electrical goods you can imagine. It is incredibly crowded. The lanes are narrow and you have to dodge people carrying huge boxes on their heads. Our shop is old and the walls are lined with shelves from the floor to the ceiling. We have everything packed in so tightly that sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for right away. It is a family-run kind of vibe here. We have been in this spot for years and years. The building is very old and the wiring looks like a spiderweb in some places, which is ironic for an electrical market. We don't have much space to move around. Usually, there are three or four of us behind the counter. We spend the day shouting over the noise of the crowd to talk to customers. It is exhausting but it’s also where all the action is. We drink tea from the local stall that delivers in small glass cups. There is no air conditioning, just a few old fans that have seen better days. It is a real, gritty part of the city and we wouldn't be anywhere else.
