A K Building Material Store

We’re over at Plot A-31 in Dilshad Colony, right across from the Delhi Jal Board office. It’s a busy little corner of the city. We have a lot of different building materials here, but cement is one of the main things people come for. Being infront of the Jal Board means there’s always something going on outside our gate. The yard is usually packed with bricks, sand, and stacks of cement bags. It’s a bit cramped, to be honest, but we make it work. We spend our days helping people figure out how many bags they need and then loading them into whatever vehicle they brought. It’s noisy because of the Delhi traffic, and the dust from the materials is just part of the furniture. We don’t have any big corporate policies or anything like that. We just open the gates in the morning and start working. If it rains, it’s a scramble to get the covers on everything, which can be a bit of a mess. Most of our customers are locals from around Dilshad Colony who are doing some renovations. We’re just a regular store trying to keep up with the demand. It’s a lot of sweat and heavy lifting, but it’s a living. We’ve been at this plot for a while, and the neighbors all know us by now.
