Waves Ias

You can find us on the second floor above the Chawla Sweet Shop in Karanpur. The smell of sweets is always there, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how hungry you are. We’re right on Cement Road, not far from DBS College. It’s a busy part of Dehradun, and there are always students walking around. Our space is mostly taken up by classrooms and stacks of study materials. We’ve got chairs and tables crammed in to fit as many people as we can comfortably. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but people get used to it. We spend our days mostly going over notes and helping students with their IAS preparation. There isn't much luxury here, just a lot of hard work and many hours spent reading. The walls are mostly covered with maps and old notices. We try to keep the noise from the street out, but you can always hear the horns and the people outside. It’s just the nature of being in such a central location. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down. Most of the people who come here are very serious about their exams, so the atmosphere is usually quiet and focused. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything. It’s just a place where you come to study. We handle everything from the registration to the actual teaching ourselves.
