Shigally Hill Intl Academy

Shigally Hill Intl Academy is tucked away in the Cantt area of Dehradun. It’s a bit of a climb to get up here, but the air is definitely fresher than it is down in the main city. We have a lot of greenery around us, which makes for a nice view out the classroom windows. The buildings have that older, solid feel to them, common for this part of the hills. We don't go in for much flashiness. Life here follows a pretty steady rhythm. The mornings are usually cool, sometimes a bit misty, and you can hear the birds before the students start arriving. We spend our days making sure the classes are running on time and the kitchen is getting meals ready. It’s a bit of a trek for some of the staff who live further down in Dehradun, but we all make it work. The playground is a bit uneven because of the hillside, but the kids don't seem to mind much when they're playing. We keep the place tidy, though the monkeys sometimes make a mess of the bins outside. That’s just part of being in the Cantt. We focus on the basics here. There’s enough room for everyone to study and relax without feeling too crowded. It’s a quiet spot, away from the honking horns of the main market, and we like it that way. Just a regular school doing its work in the hills.
