The Bar Academy

Our place is up in Dehradun, over in the Narayan Vihar area near Kargi. We are located in Phase-2 of the THDC colony. It’s a nice, green part of the city, especially compared to the crowded center. We set up the academy here to show people how things work in a real setting. The room is fitted with several counters and high stools to make it feel like a proper environment. It isn't a perfect setup, and some of the tools we use have seen better days, but they still work fine for what we need. We spend a lot of our time cleaning up spills and washing out various glasses. That's just part of the daily routine here. The weather in Dehradun is usually quite good, so we leave the windows open to let the air in. You can hear the birds in the trees nearby and the sound of cars passing in the distance. We aren't a big school with lots of staff. It’s more of a hands-on place where we just get stuck into the work. Sometimes we run out of certain ingredients and someone has to run down to the local market. It gets a bit disorganized on the busier days, but we always manage to finish what we started. People come from all over the city to spend time here. We don't do much advertising; mostly people just hear about us from their friends.
