Shining Star Academy

We are tucked away at the end of Sanjai Colony on Inder Road. Dehradun is a nice place for a school, especially here in Dalanwala. Shining Star Academy is at number 82, which is easy enough to spot once you get into the lane. The area is mostly residential, so it stays fairly quiet except when parents are dropping off their kids. We have a small entrance and the building goes back quite a bit. Inside, it's just normal rooms converted for teaching. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they are sturdy. We have a few trees around the property that give some shade in the afternoons. Students here are mostly from the local colony. We don't have a massive field, so the kids play in the smaller courtyard area. Dehradun weather changes fast, so we’re always checking the roof for leaks when it rains. The office is right by the front door where we keep all the records in big steel cabinets. It’s a simple operation we run here. We know most of the parents by name because they live just a few streets away. It’s not a fancy academy with big buses, just a local spot for basic education. We keep the daily schedule on a whiteboard in the hall and mark the attendance in blue ink. Everyone knows the routine by now.
