It is a very busy part of Dehradun, and there is always something going on outside. Our rooms are just standard classrooms where we spend our days. It gets a bit hectic when the school kids arrive in the afternoon. We have been in this complex for a while, so most of the other shop owners know us by name. It is not a huge operation, just a few of us making sure the classes run on time. The stairs in the building can be a bit steep, but everyone is used to it by now. We do not spend much on advertisements because we think being honest about the work is better. Students come here from all over the Ballupur side of town. Sometimes we have to move desks around to fit everyone in, especially during the exam season. We have a small corner where we keep our bags and tea mugs. It feels like a second home to us because we are here more than we are at our own houses. The traffic at Balliwala Chowk is always a topic of conversation when people walk in. We just focus on the teaching and let the rest of the world go by. It is a simple life of books, pens, and a lot of talking to explain things to the youngsters who come through our doors.
