Takshila Institute

You can find us in Arhant Bazar, which is one of those old-school market areas in Dehradun. It’s a place full of shops and people, and we are tucked right in there. Takshila Institute has been around for a while, and we’ve seen a lot of students pass through our doors. Being in a bazaar means it’s never really quiet. There’s always the sound of shopkeepers and customers outside, but it gives the place a lot of life. Our institute isn’t very big. We have a few classrooms that are pretty basic but they work for what we need. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just help people learn. Mostly, it’s about sitting down with books and going over things until they make sense. The staff here are just regular folks who live in the city. We walk the same streets and eat at the same local spots as everyone else. Sometimes the rooms get a bit crowded when a big batch of students arrives, but we manage. We don’t spend money on big posters or radio ads. People in Arhant Bazar just know we are here, and word of mouth usually does the rest. It’s a humble place, and we like it that way. We just want to keep providing a space for people to study without making things more complicated than they need to be. It’s just us doing our daily work.
