Purohit Classes

Purohit Classes is situated at No-46, Karanpur Chowk. It is a busy little spot in Dehradun, right near the Laxmi Narayan Mandir. Being at the chowk means there is always a lot of honking and people rushing around, but inside the classes, we try to keep things focused. We have been here for a while, and the walls are covered with old charts and schedules. It’s a place for students who are serious about their lessons but don’t need anything fancy. We have some wooden benches and a whiteboard that has seen better days, but it works for what we need. The temple nearby is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us for the first time. We usually see a lot of foot traffic from the local colleges. Dehradun is known for its schools and coaching, and we are just one of the many small places tucked away in the lanes of Karanpur. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything like that. Most people find out about us just by walking past or hearing from a friend in the neighborhood. The afternoon sun hits the front of the building pretty hard, so we usually have the curtains drawn while we work. It’s a very local feel here, nothing like those big institutes you see on the main roads. Just a few rooms where people come to learn and hopefully do well in their exams. That’s the whole story, really.
