We operate out of C Block in the Race Course area of Dehradun. The address is 142/1, and we are quite close to the Police Line. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood compared to the center of the city. We don’t have a big classroom here because most of our work involves sending people out to different homes across Dehradun. Our office is more like a hub where we keep track of everything. There’s always a stack of registers on the desk and a phone that rings more often than not. We spend a lot of our time talking to parents on the phone, trying to understand what their kids need. Then we have to look through our lists to see who would be the best fit. It’s a bit like a puzzle. The room where we work has a big window that looks out onto the street. We see the same neighbors walking their dogs every morning. It’s a very relaxed environment. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us making sure that students get the help they need at their own kitchen tables. Sometimes tutors drop by to pick up materials or just to tell us how their sessions are going. We keep a pot of tea going most afternoons. It’s a straightforward business, run by people who live right here in the city and understand how the local schools work.
