Akash Coaching Centre

You’ll find Akash Coaching Centre at number 16 on Teg Bahadur Road. We are quite close to Summer Valley School, which makes it a very convenient location for a lot of the families in this part of Dehradun City. The road is usually lined with trees and is a bit quieter than the main commercial streets, which is a nice change for everyone. Our building is a simple one. We’ve turned a few rooms into study areas where we hold our sessions. It’s not a large operation. We keep the groups small so that we can actually talk to everyone and see what they are writing in their notebooks. There’s a lot of back-and-forth between the teachers and the students. It’s not just someone standing at the front talking for an hour. We have piles of books and old test papers stacked in the corners. It’s a bit cluttered, but we like it that way because it feels like a real place of work. Most of us have been teaching here for years, so we’ve seen the local curriculum change and we know what the examiners are usually looking for. We don't have a fancy reception desk or a computer system for tracking everything. We just use a register and talk to parents when they come to pick up their kids. It’s an honest, local setup where the focus is just on the learning. We keep things moving and help wherever we can.
