We are based out of House No 251 in the Doon Vihar Colony. It’s tucked away near Rajpur Road in the Jakhan area of Dehradun. You’ll find us pretty close to the Radha Krishna Temple, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find the house. Since we’re in a colony, it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main road, which is nice for the students. We started these tuitions because there was a need for it in the neighborhood. The rooms are just part of the house that we’ve converted for teaching. It’s got a very home-like feel to it because, well, it is a home. We have some desks and chairs squeezed into the rooms. We’ve lived here and worked here for a long time. Dehradun has changed a lot, but this little corner of Jakhan stays mostly the same. We handle different subjects depending on who shows up. It’s a small operation, mostly just family and a couple of helpers. We don’t have a big office or a receptionist. If the bell rings, one of us just goes to the door. It’s simple and honest work. We spend our evenings here with the kids from the nearby blocks. It’s just how our days go. If you walk past the temple, you’re basically there. We’ve been part of this community for years and it feels right.
