The Travel Terminal

We are located on the first floor of Essel Chambers. Our building is on Jail Road in Karangalpady. If you know where the Karangalpady Market is, we are right across from it. It’s a very lively spot to have an office. In the mornings, you can hear the vendors and the shoppers before the traffic really picks up. The stairs leading up to our floor are a bit steep. Inside, the office is just a few rooms with desks pushed against the walls. We have a small area where we keep our bags and umbrellas. It rains a lot here in Mangalore, so there is usually a puddle near the door during the monsoon. We don't have any fancy lighting, just the regular tubes. We spend our days checking schedules and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes we take a break and go across to the market to get some fruit or a snack. It’s a bit of a crowded space because we have a lot of folders and old records stored in the corners. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. It’s just where we come to work every day. The people here are friendly and we know most of the shopkeepers on the ground floor. It feels like a typical Mangalore office. We’ve been here for a good while and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. It is home to us though.
