Meridian College

Meridian College is right on Someshwar Road in Ullal, and if you are from around Mangalore, you probably know the area well. It is a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the sun is already getting warm and the students start showing up. We usually get in early to unlock the main gates and start the fans in the office. It’s a plain building, nothing too flashy, just enough space for the classrooms and the labs we have. You can hear the traffic from the road all day long, mostly buses and bikes zooming past. Sometimes the humidity in Karnataka really gets to you, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the coast. Our staff mostly spends their time sorting through files or talking to students who have questions about their schedules. The desks have seen better days, and there are always a few stray pens lying around the front desk. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look as long as the classes happen on time. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting in the small staff room or going out to one of the local stalls nearby. It is just a regular place where people come to get their work done and study. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and the neighbors all know us by name. It is just life as usual here in Ullal. The gate has a bit of a squeak when you open it early in the morning, but we’re used to it.
