We are based out of the Laxmi Complex in Kottara. It’s an easy enough place to find if you are familiar with the Kuloor Ferry Road area. We are quite close to the Saraswati Mandir, which is a big landmark for anyone around here. The office is pretty basic. We have some plastic chairs for when people come in and a couple of wooden desks where we sit. Most of the time, the radio is playing softly in the background. Ashoknagar is a good area to be in, and being near the temple makes it feel peaceful even when the road is busy. The Kuloor Ferry Road sees a lot of vehicles going back and forth, especially trucks and buses. We have a small sign outside so people don't miss the entrance to the complex. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. We’ve got a lot of files tucked away in cabinets because we still like to keep physical copies of everything. It’s just how we were taught to do things. The staff here are locals, so we talk in the local language most of the time. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes from the ferry side. It’s not a corporate office with fancy carpet or anything like that. Just a regular place where we work and talk about our weekends. We've been here a while.
