Kas Foundation

Our foundation operates out of a place called Katarapa, which is near Mahan in the Cuttack district. It's a bit of a journey to get here if you're coming from the main city. We are located at the address of So Rasha Bihari Nanda. It’s a local setup, very much rooted in this rural area. We don’t have fancy offices or a big staff. It’s just a few of us trying to do what needs to be done. The building is simple, with basic furniture and some old fans that hum all day. Being in a place like Cuttack, we deal with the local weather and the pace of life here. Things move a bit slower, which is fine by us. We spend our time talking to people from the surrounding villages and organizing our paperwork. Our work involves a lot of community interaction, so there are always people coming in and out with different requests or just to say hello. The 754201 pin code area is our home. We don't have a website or a marketing person. Most people hear about what we do from their neighbors or at the local market. It’s a hands-on kind of life. We try to stay organized, but sometimes the files get mixed up or the rain makes it hard to get around. We just keep at it, one day at a time, here at our small base in Katarapa for the community we know well.
