Dewangan Krishi Pharma

We have been here at Chandi Chowk for a while now. People usually come in looking for stuff for their crops. We have seeds in bags piled up in the corner and different bottles on the shelves for the plants. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind blows from the main road, but that is just how it is here. Most mornings start with unlocking the front shutter and sweeping the floor before the first farmers arrive. They usually want to talk about what’s growing or what insects are bothering their fields. We do not have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a counter, some ledgers, and plenty of stock. Cuttack is a place where everyone knows everyone, so it's a lot of chatting. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we have a fan that keeps things moving. The shop isn't huge but we try to keep it organized so we can find things quickly. Some days are very long, especially during the sowing season when people are in a hurry. We just do our work and try to help out whoever walks through the door. It is a simple life running a business in this part of town. You see the same faces every week and you get to know the local rhythms. That is pretty much who we are, just a local shop in the middle of Chandi Chowk doing what we can for the farming community.
