Birupa Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is Birupa Farmers Producer Company Limited and we are located at Plot No-304 in Sahaniajpur. To get here, you go via Nishintakoili and we are under the Mahanga police station. We are just a group of farmers who live along the Birupa river. That river is the lifeblood of our fields, so it made sense to name our company after it. We don't have a big corporate building or anything like that. Plot No-304 is just a simple place where we gather to talk and store some of our stuff. Farming in Mahanga has always been a way of life for us. We know these fields and we know how the weather changes throughout the year. We decided to form Birupa Farmers Producer Company Limited because it’s getting harder to do everything alone. We don't have any fancy marketing plans or big speeches. We just sit together and figure out how to buy supplies in bulk or where we can get a better price for our grain. It’s practical stuff. Sometimes we argue about the best way to do things, but that’s just how it goes with a group of independent-minded people. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We are just local farmers who want to keep our traditions alive while finding a way to make it work in the modern world. It’s honest, hard work and we take it one season at a time.
