We’ve been here at 360/A on Chennai Main Road for a good while now. L.N. Puram is a busy spot, and there’s always noise coming from the traffic outside our front door. Most days start early before the sun gets too high because the heat on the main road can be a bit much by noon. We mostly handle things in the back and talk to people who stop in. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular office with some desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour, so we just sit and wait or talk to the neighbors next door. People know where to find us because we’re right on the main stretch. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name on the wall. My uncle used to run things, but now it’s mostly just a few of us making sure everything moves along. The floor is concrete and we sweep it twice a day because the dust from the trucks on the road is never-ending. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It’s just a normal business day after day. We don't really do much besides the daily tasks and keeping the books straight. If you come by, you’ll probably see a couple of bikes parked outside and hear the fans whirring inside to keep the air moving. That’s just how it is here.
