C. Ramakrishna Padayatchi

Down in Panruti Tk, specifically in the village of A. Melmampattu, is where you’ll find us. The business is under the name C. Ramakrishna Padayatchi, which is a name that’s been around this area for a long time. We are out in Kadampuliyur, so it’s a lot different from the big city offices. Life here moves at a slightly different pace, though we stay plenty busy. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or a bunch of social media pages. Most people find us because they know the family or they’ve been told where to go. The work is steady and it’s mostly tied to what's happening in the local community. We spend a lot of our time outdoors or in the warehouse area. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We wear clothes that we don't mind getting a bit dirty. Sometimes the rain slows things down, and we just sit and wait it out under the tin roof. It’s a simple existence, really. We value the fact that we know our neighbors and our customers by name. We’ve been at this same spot for as long as I can remember. It’s home and it’s work, all rolled into one. No need for big speeches or polished goals, we just do what we’ve always done. My father used to say that hard work is the only thing that lasts here, and we still believe that.
