Speedway (Star Nuts)

Our shop is up on the second floor at O-36, Lajpat Nagar-II. It’s right in the middle of everything, so it gets pretty crowded downstairs. Speedway, or Star Nuts as some people know us, has been here for a while. We deal with nuts and dry fruits, mostly. The smell of the warehouse part of the office is actually quite nice. It’s a lot of weighing, packing, and making sure the orders are right. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just where the work happens. Sometimes the stairs feel a bit long after a long day of carrying bags. We’ve got a few scales and a lot of packaging material lying around. Most of our customers are regulars who know exactly where to find us. We don't spend money on big signs or ads. Word of mouth works just fine for us. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We drink a lot of tea while we sort through the stock. Lajpat Nagar is always noisy, but once you’re up on the second floor, it’s a bit calmer. We just try to keep things moving. The records are mostly kept in old folders. It’s a simple setup but it works. We’ve seen the market change over the years. We just keep doing what we know best. It’s not glamorous, but it’s our life. We usually close up early on weekends to spend time with the family.
