Our little setup is at E- 9 in KPG Garden. If you know where Balaji Hospital is in Sulur, we are just right behind it. It’s a quiet enough area for making food. We spend most of our days in the kitchen area, prepping ingredients and getting things packaged up for sale. There is always a smell of something being cooked or ground up, which is nice most of the time. We aren't a massive factory with conveyor belts and robots. It’s mostly hands-on work, filling bags and checking the seals by hand. Sometimes the power goes out in the middle of a batch and we have to wait it out, which is just how things go around here sometimes. We make stuff that people use in their daily cooking. My family helps out a lot, especially when we have a big batch of orders to finish for the shops. We keep our supplies on tall racks and try to stay as organized as we can in a small space. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes, managing the cleaning and the production at the same time. People from the neighborhood often stop by to see what we are making that day. We don't have fancy packaging with lots of colors, just simple bags that show what’s inside. It’s honest work and we enjoy being part of the Sulur community. We just want to make sure the food we put out is good enough for our own kitchen table.
