Womens Pride Parlour & Educational Institute

Womens Pride Parlour & Educational Institute is located at No 112/2 on 5th Street, right off the 100 Feet Road in Gandhipuram. It’s a busy area of Coimbatore, especially being so close to Kalyan Jewellers. We have two sides to what we do here. One part is the regular parlour where we handle hair and beauty for the women who live and work around Gandhipuram. The other part is the institute where we teach students who want to learn the trade for themselves. It gets a bit crowded sometimes when we have a full class and customers coming in at the same time, but we manage the space okay. The 100 Feet Road is always noisy with traffic, but once you step into our street, it gets a tiny bit quieter for a while. We have been in this location for a good while. The rooms are set up with mirrors and practice stations for the girls to learn. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just about teaching the skills and providing the services that people expect. Most of the staff here started out as students themselves. We spend our days making sure the supplies are stocked and the equipment is ready for the next lesson or customer. It’s a busy life but we are used to the pace of this neighborhood. We open up early and stay until the street lights are finally on.
