Vengatachapathy Traders

Vengatachapathy Traders is found at 15, Tk Naidu Street in the Pellamedupudur area. We have a storefront that opens right onto the street, so we see everything that goes on in the neighborhood. Our days are mostly spent unloading sacks and boxes from the trucks that pull up outside. It is a lot of lifting and moving things around the warehouse space in the back. The front of the shop has a wooden counter where we talk to customers and write down the orders. We don't have any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done with a pen and a paper pad. The street is usually full of people and other traders, so it can get a bit loud during the middle of the day. We have a few fans blowing to keep the heat down, but it still gets quite warm when we are busy. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we all know the local families and what is happening in Pellamedupudur. We don't really do any big marketing or have a website. People just know where we are and what we trade in. Sometimes we sit on the benches outside for a break when the sun is going down. It is a simple business where we focus on buying and selling goods and making sure our customers get what they need without any trouble. (251 words)
