Solamalai Exports

Out here at 6/26 Ulaipalar Street, things move at a bit of a different pace than the big cities. We’re near the Gnmill Post Office in Urumandam Palayam. Solamalai Exports is mostly about getting things ready to send out. There’s a lot of checking labels, weighing boxes, and making sure everything is packed tight so nothing breaks. The building isn't new, and it can get quite warm during the middle of the day, so we keep the fans going constantly. We usually have a few people working on the floor and someone in the small office area handling the computers. It’s not a complicated setup. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know everyone around here. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to say hello or ask a question. We don't use any fancy management software; we mostly rely on notebooks and a few spreadsheets that have worked for years. Dealing with exports means we have to be careful with the details, so we spend a lot of time double-checking things. It can be tiring, especially when there’s a big shipment going out, but it feels good to see the trucks loaded up. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our work properly and keep our heads down. It’s a simple life, and we like the work we do here on Ulaipalar Street.
