Maa Durga Traders

Our shop, Maa Durga Traders, is located at 5/31 in Kadambadi. It’s a bit out of the way, near Kangayampalayam. We aren't in a big city center, so things move a little slower around here. The road outside isn't nearly as busy as the highways, but we still get plenty of local traffic. We mostly deal with trading different goods that people in the village and the nearby areas need. Our building is a simple one-story structure. Inside, it’s mostly storage space. We have bags of grain or hardware supplies stacked against the walls depending on what we’ve got in stock that week. There is a small counter where we sit and talk to customers who drop by. We don't really have a computer system or anything; it’s all done in paper notebooks. Sometimes the chickens from the neighbor's yard wander near the front door, and we have to shoo them away. It’s a very quiet life compared to the big towns. We know most of our customers by name since they live just down the road or in the next village over. We usually open up early in the morning when the air is still cool. By the afternoon, it gets quite hot, so we sit in the shade of the porch. It’s a basic business, but we’ve been here a long time and everyone knows where to find us.
