Vkt Agri Farm

Down at 11/15, Kamachiamman Nagar in Ammapalayam, you’ll find our place, Vkt Agri Farm. We’ve been working this land and doing agriculture stuff for a long time. It’s not an easy way to make a living, but it’s what we know. Most of our days are spent outside, so we don't spend much time in a proper office. We deal with whatever the season brings, whether it’s planting time or getting everything ready for harvest. Ammapalayam is a small enough place where people know who we are. We don’t have any fancy brochures or big signs. It’s just about the crops and the work that goes into them. Sometimes the weather is against us, like when it doesn't rain for weeks, and that can be a real worry. Other times, things grow well and we’re busy from sunrise to sunset. We aren't looking to become some massive farm corporation. We just want to do a decent job with the ground we have. The equipment is always breaking down at the worst time, so we spend a lot of time fixing things ourselves. It’s a simple kind of life, even if it’s hard work. We don't have any big slogans. We just try to keep the soil healthy and the farm running. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy, and I guess that’s enough for us.
