Universal Food Products

We are located at No,118 on Natarajapuram South Street, right near Medical College Road. Universal Food Products is what we call the place, but to most people around here, we are just the guys in the blue building. We spend most of our time packing things and checking the weight of the containers. The air smells like whatever we are working on that day. It is a small space, so we have to be careful not to trip over the boxes. We started out with just a couple of machines and now we have four. They make a lot of noise, so we have to shout to hear each other. The floor is concrete and we have to wash it down every evening before we lock up. It is tiring work, honestly. My hands are usually tired by five o'clock. We get a lot of people passing by because of the medical college nearby. Sometimes they stop and ask what we are doing in here. We just show them the bags and the labels. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just me, my uncle, and two helpers from the neighborhood. We make sure the seals are tight and the boxes are stacked straight. It is a simple life on South Street. We take our breaks under the big tree outside when it gets too stuffy inside the workshop.
