Tharamani Industries

Tharamani Industries is located at No-57 on the Avarampalayam Main Road in Ganapathy. It’s a busy road with lots of workshops and small factories nearby, so there is always the sound of machinery or traffic in the air. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. The floors are concrete and have some cracks, and the walls are covered with old charts and grease stains in some places. It’s an industrial workspace, so we don’t worry too much about keeping it looking like a showroom. We have a small office area partitioned off from the main floor where we handle the billing and the phone calls. It’s usually pretty dusty because of the work we do, so we’re constantly wiping down the keyboards and the monitors. There are about six of us here on a regular day. We wear work clothes that usually end up with some stains by the end of the shift. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just make what we make and send it out to the people who need it. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves, which can be frustrating, but that’s part of the job. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it right here in Ganapathy for years without much changing in the way we handle things day to day.
