Acorn Engineering

Our workshop is at No. 96A, Bharathiar Road, right near the Iec Bus Stop in Ganapathy. If you stand at our front door, you can see the buses pulling in every few minutes. At Acorn Engineering, the atmosphere is usually a bit noisy because of the machines running in the back. The floor is made of concrete and it’s got some stains from oil that we can't quite get out. We don't have any fancy office furniture or air conditioning in the main work area. Most of the time, we just leave the big doors open to let the air circulate. It’s a bit dusty, and you’ll definitely get some grease on your clothes if you stay too long. We have a small corner with a table where we keep our logbooks and a few spare parts. We don't really have a receptionist or anyone to answer the phone with a script. If you call, you'll probably hear the sound of a grinder in the background. We all just pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s fixing a machine or loading up a truck. The neighbors are mostly other small shops, and we all know each other. Sometimes we grab a snack from the vendor across the street when things get hectic. It’s just a regular engineering shop where we focus on the task at hand and don't worry about looking polished or professional for anyone else.
