If you ever find yourself driving through Eachanari, you might end up near the Ramachandra Industrial Estate. That is where we are located. Acorn Hi-Tech Engineering isn't really as high-tech as the name might make you think if you’re picturing robots and clean rooms. It’s more about grit and getting the engineering work done right. Most of us arrive early when the air is still a bit cool before the afternoon heat starts hitting the metal roof. The estate is always loud with the sound of trucks and other shops doing their thing. We spend a lot of time measuring parts and making sure the lathes are running the way they should. It isn’t always easy work, and there are days when nothing seems to go right, but that is just part of the job. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to answer phones with a script. Usually, someone just wipes their hands on a rag and picks up if they hear it ringing over the noise of the fans. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. It’s about making things that work and making sure we don't mess up the specs. Lunch is usually eaten quickly so we can get back to whatever is on the machine. It’s a plain way to earn a living, but it keeps us busy during the week.
