Slv Food Products

Down here on Swami Vivekananda Street, things stay pretty busy from morning until late at night. Our place, Slv Food Products, is located at number 73-14 in Uthanur. We’ve been operating out of this same building for a good stretch of time. The street outside is always noisy with scooters and people walking to work. Inside, it smells like grain and whatever else we are processing that day. We do not have any big signs or flashy stuff out front. Most of the work involves moving heavy bags around and making sure the machines are actually doing what they are supposed to do. Sometimes the old fan in the corner makes a loud rattling noise, but it keeps the air moving so we do not mind. We get our supplies delivered throughout the week, and we spend a lot of time just loading and unloading. It is hard work, and our hands are usually a bit dirty by the time lunch rolls around. Uthanur is a crowded place, and we are just one of the many small businesses squeezed into this row of buildings. We do not spend much time on computers or fancy paperwork; it is mostly just handling the food products and talking to the drivers who come and go. We have got a small rhythm going here. It isn't perfect, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us and keeps everyone busy.
