Sidedis Snacktech Private Limited has its spot at S.F.No.112/3B, P.No.29 in Alagu Nagar Extension. Thalakudy is a quiet enough place most days. We deal with snacks here. It is mostly about getting the right crunch and making sure the packets are sealed up right. The building is a bit of a plain one, nothing much to look at from the outside. Inside is where all the noise is. The machines are running almost all day long. We started this because we liked local snacks and wanted to make some ourselves. It is not a huge operation with hundreds of people. Just a small group of us making sure things go into the bags correctly. Sometimes we run out of tape or the power goes out and we have to wait a bit. That is just life in a place like this. The Alagu Nagar area is growing though. There are more houses coming up around us now. We see the same people walking past every morning while we are unloading the raw materials. We use a lot of local ingredients when we can get them. It makes sense because they are right there. We do not spend much time on meetings or big plans. We just look at what needs to be fried or packed today and we get on with it. It is simple work but it keeps us on our feet.
