You can find us at number 46 in Marutham Nagar, over in the Saravanampatti area. This is where we make all our snacks and savories. If you walk down our street in the mornings, you can usually smell the oil and the spices we use for the different batches of snacks. We are not a giant factory with machines doing everything; there is a lot of handwork involved in how we prepare and pack the food. The kitchen area is always busy, with people moving around and making sure the temperature is right for the frying. We started small in this neighborhood and have just stayed here as we grew a bit. The packing room is right next to the kitchen, and that is where we put everything into bags and seal them up for the local shops. It gets quite warm in there, especially in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going all the time. Our staff are mostly people from around Saravanampatti who have been with us for a long time. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that; we just make the savories and send them out to be sold. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when we have a big order to finish, and the whole place is covered in boxes and bags. We just take it one day at a time and try to make sure everything tastes like it should.
