Shine Well Engineers

Shine Well Engineers is tucked away at number 9, Udayam Palayam. We are on the 2nd Cross in Sowripalayam, which is a fairly busy area for small industries like ours. It’s a straightforward engineering shop. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning or a big glass front. It’s mostly just concrete floors and heavy machinery. We do a lot of job work for larger factories nearby. Sometimes we are making small pins, other times it’s larger brackets or engine components. It depends on what the order is that week. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually have the big fans blowing to keep the air moving. It’s a noisy place when the drills are going, but that is how we like it. We’ve been in Sowripalayam for a while and we know the rhythms of the street. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves. We aren't interested in being corporate or having big meetings. We just want to make sure the parts we send out are the right size. Most of our lunch breaks are spent sitting on the front step watching the traffic go by on 2nd Cross. It’s a simple life running a small shop like this, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep working until the job is finished and the customer is satisfied with the part. It's just a few of us making things the old-fashioned way.
