Reliant Exports

Reliant Exports is located at 109, Sivaram Nagar in Ramanathapuram. It’s not an industrial area or a high-rise office block. Instead, we work out of a converted house in a residential street. It’s a quiet place, which is nice when you’re trying to concentrate on complicated shipping documents. We have three main rooms that we use for the office, and a small area in the back for storage. There are no fancy signs outside, just a small nameplate next to the doorbell. Ramanathapuram is a good area to be in because it’s central enough but still feels like a neighborhood. We have a few desks, some old computers, and a lot of filing cabinets that are overflowing with paper. Most of our day is spent on the phone or sending emails to people in different time zones. We don’t have a big staff, just a handful of us who know the business inside and out. We take our tea out on the small veranda when the weather is nice. Reliant Exports doesn’t have a corporate culture or a mission statement. We just focus on getting the goods from one place to another without any trouble. It’s a lot of coordination and double-checking lists. Sometimes things get stressful when a container is stuck, but we just handle it. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, right here in Sivaram Nagar.
