Pradeep Exports

Our place, Pradeep Exports, is situated at No.- 247/2B in Kaavayur, which is part of Nagarakalanthai. It’s a bit out of the way, which is good for the trucks coming in. The yard is quite big and we have plenty of room for loading. It’s mostly outdoor work or under the big sheds. We deal with exports, so there is always a lot of paperwork to fill out. None of us really likes the paperwork, but it has to be done. We spend a lot of time checking the crates and making sure everything is packed in right so nothing moves around during the trip. The sun can be pretty brutal in Nagarakalanthai, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. We have a few dogs that hang around the gate and sleep in the dirt. They don’t do much. The people working here have been friends for years. We don’t have a human resources department or anything like that. If someone has a problem, we just talk it out over tea. We don't have a fancy sign, just a hand-painted one near the entrance. It’s a straightforward business. We get the items, we pack them, and we send them off to wherever they need to go. It’s what we’ve always done and we don’t see much reason to change how we operate after all this time.
