Our place is located at 3/32A Upstair, Amman Nagar. It’s right on Nanjundapuram Road in Podanur. Coimbatore is a big city, but this corner feels a bit more like home to us. We’ve been operating from this upstairs unit for a while. It’s a bit of a climb if you’re carrying heavy stuff, but we manage just fine. Statex Engineering is what the sign says outside. Most people around here know the building. We do engineering work, mostly the practical side of things. It gets a bit loud sometimes with the machines and the general noise of the road outside. Podanur is a busy area with the trains and everything nearby. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. By midday, it can get pretty warm in the office, but we have a couple of fans going. There are a few of us here, mostly guys who have been doing this for years. We don’t have a fancy website or a big reception area. You just walk up the stairs and you’ll see us working. We get a lot of local business from other workshops around Coimbatore. It’s a lot of metal, drawings, and trying to fix things that aren’t working right. We don’t really bother with big corporate talk. We just focus on the job at hand. Sometimes the orders are backed up, and other times it’s quiet enough to have an extra tea break while we wait for the next job to come in.
