We started Latha Arun Organics at No. 15 Eashwara Nagar because we wanted to do something with the land around K. Vadamadurai. It is not a big fancy office or anything like that. Mostly it is just us working through the daily orders and checking on what is coming in from the fields. People often ask why we bother with the organic side of things, and really, it is just how stuff used to be done before everything got so complicated with sprays and chemicals. My family has been around this area for quite a while now. The post office is right nearby, so getting things shipped out isn't too much of a headache most days. Sometimes the heavy rain slows us down or the power cuts out for a few hours, but that is just how life is in this part of town. We do not have a big marketing team or a bunch of people in suits. It is just a few of us making sure the products are clean and packed up right. We spend most of our time outside or in the shed. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. If you happen to walk by our gate, you will probably see us just sorting through bags or talking to the drivers. We don't really do the whole polished corporate thing. It is just a regular local business. Dealing with natural products takes a lot of patience. Some days are long, but we keep at it.
