We are located at 6, Thiruvalluvar Nagar Extn. down in Ramanathapuram. Kurnool Seeds Pvt Ltd has been based here for some time now. Dealing with seeds means we are always looking at the calendar and the rain. When the seasons change, things get really hectic around the office. We have bags and paperwork piled up quite often in the corners. It’s not the biggest place, but it works well for what we need to do. The staff here mostly knows the local farmers and what they are looking for when they come by the shop. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just checking the stock in the back room. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of town and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a simple setup. There are no big glass windows or fancy lobbies with fountains. Just a desk, some chairs, and people who know about seeds and plants. Ramanathapuram is a good area for us to be in because it’s easy for people to find the extension road. We don’t really do much advertising around here. People just know we are here at number 6. We focus on the daily tasks like sorting orders and making sure the deliveries are ready for the transport trucks. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy throughout the year. If you walk past, you’ll probably see us drinking tea or checking the ledgers. That’s just the way we run things here every day.
