Kashmir Wallet Trading Co.

We are out in Vellalore at Plot No.70 in Sakthi Vinayagar Nagar. It is a bit far out for some people but we like the space we have here. Kashmir Wallet Trading Co. deals with a lot of leather goods and the boxes are always stacked up to the ceiling in the back room. When a new shipment comes in it smells very strongly of leather and glue for a few days. We don't have a big showroom with lights and mirrors. It is more of a warehouse where we check the stitching on the wallets and make sure the zippers actually work. Sometimes we find a bad batch and it is a real pain to sort through it all. My brother and I usually handle the heavy lifting while a couple of others help with the counting. The fans are always rattling overhead and the floor is concrete so it stays cool enough in the summer. We drink a lot of tea while we work and listen to the neighbors' dogs barking outside. It is not a glamorous job but it pays the bills and we know our way around a good piece of leather. We just pack the orders and send them out on the small trucks that come by in the evening. It is quiet work for the most part and we prefer it that way. No one bothers us much and we just get on with the business.
