Over on Main Road in Kadavur, we have our spot at 410, which is where Dhakchina Agencies is also located. We are the Kadavoor Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited, and being near the IOB bank makes it easy for the farmers to find us when they need to talk about their crops. The road outside can get pretty loud with all the buses and bikes going past, but inside it is mostly just us and the smell of the organic stuff we handle. We don't have fancy furniture or a big coffee machine. There are just some chairs and a few tables where we spread out our maps and farmer lists. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when a lot of members show up at once, but we make it work somehow. The building isn't new, so it has its quirks, like a door that sticks when it is humid outside. Being in Kadavur means we are close to the land, which is important for what we do. We spend a lot of time checking the weather forecasts and seeing who needs help with their soil. It is practical work, and we don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. If you see the IOB sign, you are basically here. Just look for door 410 and you will see someone from the company sitting there ready to talk.
