K R G Provison

I've been running K R G Provison here in Ayalur for a long time now. We are right by the post office, so it’s easy to find us if you’re coming from Koolaimoopanur way. It isn't a huge place, just a regular shop where we keep the things people around here need every day. I start early, usually before the sun gets too high, opening up the shutters and dusting off the counters. My family helps out when they can. The shelves are mostly full of local stuff, rice, pulses, and the odd bits and pieces that someone might realize they forgot for their kitchen. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when the bus stops nearby, but mostly it’s just the same faces coming in and out. I know most of the people who walk through that door by name. We don't really do anything fancy here. It’s just a plain store with four walls and a roof that leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon gets really heavy. I try to keep things organized but sometimes the crates just end up where they end up. It’s a bit of a squeeze when a new delivery comes in and we have to stack everything. If you are passing through No.9 Ayalur, you will see us there near the turn. It’s a quiet life mostly, just keeping the shop going and making sure the jars are filled so folks can get what they need.
